I decided to decorate the cover of my February Album. I'll be using this 6x8 Snap! album by Simple Stories with a variety of theirs and Becky Higgins 6x8 page protectors.

I can't believe how fast February is approaching. That means my daughter is almost 13. Thirteen! TEEN. Oh my. For me, SHE is the reason for the season.

Anyway, I'll be sharing my progress as I go along.

While getting things together and ready for February, I took some time to at least start my PL for 2015. It's only a little start, but at least I got it going. Just thought I'd share the little that I have so far.

Here's the Cover page:

I usually add a family photo in there somewhere, but so far we haven't taken one that's worthy of the cover page. Actually...we haven't take one at all since Christmas.

Those currently cards will be filled out by my husband, daughter and me. The cards shown here (ex were also parts of

Documented our Jan 1st because I was so happy that we actually got to relax. In our pajamas. All day. Hell yeah.

I'll show my pages as I go along, but expect more from February. It's already approaching; and fast! Can you believe it?

I'm working a little backwards here. Instead of figuring out how I'm going to Document 2015, getting my cover page done, etc...I'm prepping for February.

February is my favorite month because that is the month my daughter was born. She was born on Valentine's Day almost 13 years ago. I know I'm not the only Mother out there with a Valentine baby, but it is still super duper special to me and I like to Document it in a special way.

Ali Edwards, the creative genius that gave us December Daily, has inspired me to do a "February Daily" album for my daughter every year. I started in 2010, but in 2012 I just included it in my Project Life albums. It would be a nice change to go back to making the February albums as I did before. I found these heart stickers at my local Target and decided to use them as the color palette for the album. That may change when I start creating my layouts, but this is a good starting point.
(I apologize for the weird lighting, it was a gloomy, rainy day and it trying to get some great lighting was difficult to do in my workspace.)

I gathered anything and everything I already had my stash that I thought would work well with what I had in mind, plus the adorable valentine themed embellishments I found at the Target One Spot (Seriously love that spot.)

What I plan on documenting in this February album:
  • Daily happenings (In February, there's always some kind of valentine thing going on.)
  • What she's currently interested in (TV shows, books, trends, etc.)
  • Have her journal about how she feels about becoming a teenager
  • Annual Questionnaire (I do a layout of this with her photo & add a new question every year.)
  • Random ephemera
  • Valentine cards
  • Photos, of course!
Every year, I continue the tradition of  giving her one valentine every day from February first to the fourteenth. I'll be including those in here as well.

I haven't decided if ALL of the month of February will be in this album or if I'm only going to Feature February first through the fourteenth, ending the album on her birthday. I'll decided as I go along I guess.

Here's a quick look at the albums I made for 2011 and 2012. I wish I kept doing this consecutively instead of skipping years, but oh well!

Things I'll be working on these last two weeks of January:
  1. Brainstorming and starting 2015 PL (Cover page and how I wanted to format it.)
  2. Ideas and gathering supplies to for the Valentine cards I'll be making her.
  3. Listing all projects I'd like to finish this year.
I may have my own reasons for documenting February the way I do, but hopefully these albums and my album for 2015 will give you some ideas for your own February. If you decided to do one for you and your boyfriend, friend, husband, etc...There's so many fun ways you can create and things you can incorporate in your February album! Take my ideas and make them your own!

Here's some ideas:

  • Start taking a picture in the same spot in the same position/pose and do this every year.
  • List everything you want to do together in 2015
  • a layout of everything you have in common and DON'T have in common!
  • interview each other

The possibilities are endless! No, really...they are.

Here's a look at my December Daily. I was actually able to complete this album AND my Project Life 2014 so I feel good about moving on and to conquer other projects that I can't wait to share with you.

Hope this video gives you some inspiration or ideas if you're still working on your December Daily or even some ideas for next year.

What do you document in your December Daily? I'd love to hear and be inspired by all of you!

Happy New Year and on to more creating!
