Project Life Out of Order

Usually the thought of catching up with Project Life out of chronological order would drive me nuts, but right now I'm enjoying it. July and August were hard months and I'm not sure I'm ready to relive them yet; especially July. I tried, but I found myself getting a little too emotional. So for now, I'm having fun starting September, a month that made me smile a little more.

For these layouts, I mixed a few bits from here and there, including a couple of title cards from Becky Higgins Project Life Kits, Seafood and Sunshine, and Studio Calico's September Project Life Kit, Poet Society. I feel like it that kit a great Fall feeling to it, but I was able to add little pops of my own to make it more "me." I added a couple of Heidi Swapp's glitter stickers to the journaling cards. My favorite thing on this layout? It's barely noticeable and super simple, but I love it anyway...The  gold bow. I stuck a Basic Grey, glittery gold, square candy button in the middle of it.

Don't Call It a Comeback.

Okay so everyone has stuff going on that puts them behind on documenting life, right? Good, I'm not the only one. So It's November. I haven't scrapped since mid May. All Social Media have been neglected. Booooo. But I'm getting back in the swing of things!

Let me fill you in: In June, we went to Maui. When I got back, it was July; Back to reality and juggling soccer, school, work and every day to-dos. My Grandfather had been sick with Cancer for quite some time and his health was quickly declining. I spent every day with my Grandparents, giving them any help they needed. He passed away July 12th. From that moment on for my whole family, it seemed like everything was zooming by in a blur. You know, like when you would watch the Road Runner on TV? It was hard to keep up. We were all Emotionally, physically and emotionally drained; going on next to no sleep. Week one was spent preparing for his services and that weekend was his Funeral. Week two, my Jose and I got to approved to move into a new home, packed it all up in 4 days, and moved that weekend. Week three and 4 consisted of unpacking and putting the house together. (Don't ask me how I managed to pack in 4 days, but it took 2 weeks to unpack because I wouldn't know.) Next thing you know, we're in August and my daughter is starting 7th Grade. That whole period of time was full of emotional changes and big adjustments. The dust was slowly settling and until just last week, I've had to pick up some pieces here and there from everything that had happened and catch up with Real Life (because Life was like: Bye, Lorimay...I'm going on without you.) before I tried catching up with Project Life and other scrap projects.

I finally got a chance to exhale and find the bright side...No more little apartment that my family was quickly out growing and...I have my own scrap room! Heck yeah, baby.  I've been CRAVING to get back to documenting and creating! I can't get the nice shelving I really want right now so I won't be posting any photos of my workspace just yet, but I had to get it unpacked and organized so that I could get started again. I had months of Studio Calico kits to sort through and at last, I can finally play with them and my other goodies I've been hoarding! Yay!

Here's a little bit of what I've started. Man, does it feel good!
